MPE’s Anti-Graffiti Coatings Meet EU Environmental Standards
Confirmed by the City of Stockholm and the Environmental Administration
Following dialogue with the City of Stockholm and the Environmental Administration, MPE International AB has received confirmation that the company’s reporting regarding microplastics and VOC complies with the current EU regulations.
The authority has reviewed MPE’s documentation and stated that they are satisfied with the company’s technical explanation and supporting materials.
As part of MPE International AB’s ongoing efforts in environmental adaptation and regulatory compliance, the company submitted its graffiti protection system — OFF Anti-Graffiti System — to the City of Stockholm and the Environmental Administration for review.
The purpose was to ensure that the products meet the new EU requirements concerning microplastics (REACH Regulation, Annex XVII, Entry 78) and volatile organic compounds (VOC) according to Directive 2004/42/EC.
After review, the Environmental Administration confirmed that they are satisfied with MPE’s reporting and assessment.
This means that OFF Anti-Graffiti System continues to be at the forefront — both technically and environmentally — within graffiti protection and cleaning products.
“For us, it’s a given that our products should meet both environmental legislation and customer expectations.
The fact that the Environmental Administration has explicitly expressed their satisfaction with our reporting shows that we have a solid foundation in our sustainability work,”
says Magnus Söderholm, CEO of MPE International AB.
MPE International now continues its efforts to further reduce environmental impact by developing more water-based, low-VOC products and by using the Good Environmental Choice (Bra Miljöval) criteria as a guideline for product development.
